Updated Needs and Sponsor Pages.

Despite being sick over the past week, I've really accomplished quite a bit!

Today's task was updating our pages for meeting/sponsoring our animals as well as the sanctuary needs page.

It was an overwhelming thought of what to ask for, how to word it, and even who to mention sponsorship about but thanks to some great fellow Canadian sanctuaries, I had lots of inspiration. Big Sky Ranch was a huge inspiration along with Cedar Row Farm Sanctuary. Great websites, with lots of information.

Be sure to check out my updates.. there's even a few new photos and some exciting news on there!

Slowly, but surely, our dream is coming to fruition!

Confirmation!!  Our new URL www.GGFSanctuary.com is working and business cards have been ordered.  Seems it took forever to get to this step, since Chris and I got our dreams in alignment, back in September 2015.

Unbelievably, though, it's not long now before our house goes on the market.  If it sells quickly, we could be only a few months before we are actually IN our farm!!

Just goes to show you.. NEVER give up on your dreams.  Maybe put them on the back-burner, just don't give up.  All the pieces of the puzzle will eventually fit together.

Our first sanctuary business cards!

Blessings, Kim.

The Guinea Pig Rescue of 2016!

February 11th, 2016 we met a lovely family who needed to re-home their 2 bonded female Guinea Pigs.  The mom has Cystic Fibrosis and was told that if she needs a lung replacement she would be denied because of the type of pets she had. Wow, eh?  I can't even imagine.

So, there we were meeting this family.  I felt good for being able to help out on one hand, but SO guilty on the other.  Especially when their daughter was crying and holding one of the piggies.

Then, there was another aspect. Our daughter was going to be SO excited.  We kept the actual animal type a secret and she couldn't wait to get home from school to find out.  Her friends were asking her repeatedly what they were... and then me as well at pick up time.  They are so sweet and fun to watch.  Willow loves to cuddle and pet them.  They make the most unusual and amazing sounds when they are happy.

Welcome Princess Buttercup and Dusty!

*You can find more photos of Buttercup and Dusty as well as our other animal family by seeing our GGFSanctuary facebook page HERE.
